Jeanne McCarter is the senior paralegal at the Meade Law Group. She Joined the firm in 2009, and has overseen the launch of criminal defense as a practice area, largely responsible for shaping it into the well-oiled machine that it is today. She doesn’t just specialize in criminal defense, however, as she is also an expert at handling personal injury cases, ensuring that each client gets the white glove treatment that the firm is known for. Jeanne is truly the nerve center of the office, making sure that everything runs smoothly and the attorneys know which direction to head at all times. When she is not at work, Jeanne loves riding motorcycles, listening to live music, and spending time at home with family, especially her children and granddaughter, McKenzie.

Karen Lynn Tamer joined the team as a legal assistant in 2018 to support the attorneys with personal injury cases. A typical day involves everything from the initial client intakes and maintaining case files to preparing medical summaries and drafting necessary documents. Prior to joining the firm, she devoted two decades refining her skills in the service industry while raising a family. She credits that time along with being raised in a small town in Virginia at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains to gifting her with an undeniable connection to people and the desire to help them in times of need. Outside of work you will likely find her frolicking along the Nolichucky River by day and enjoying the local live music scene by night.
Connie [[INVALID_TOKEN]] McCarter Legal Assistant
Connie McCarter has been a part of the Meade Law Group team since 2017. The friendly face you see when you first come through the door, she prides herself on making each and every client and potential client feel welcome. Chances are she is also the first voice you hear when you call our office. Connie plays an integral role in personal injury cases as she is the medical records specialist, tasked with ordering and tracking those all-important documents to ensure cases move as fluidly as possible. In Criminal Defense, she assists the paralegal in taking and recording retainer fee payments and making sure that clients receive the representation they deserve. Connie is a devoted mother and wife and has a deep love for all things involving guns, cars, and Tennessee Athletics.
